Robert Half Collections Specialist in Anderson, Indiana
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Anderson, Indiana, United States. As a Collections Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the financial management of our company. Your primary responsibilities will be managing accounts receivable, maintaining customer credit records, and working with both large and small businesses.
Responsibilities:
• Handle B2B collections and manage aged accounts
• Work collaboratively with both large retail chains and small businesses
• Use advanced Microsoft Excel skills for tasks such as configuring spreadsheets, setting up templates, and using pivot tables and vlookups
• Implement and test new software systems, with a focus on SAP ERP system
• Assist with increased workload during the spring and summer seasons
• Support the team in processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and resolve customer inquiries promptly
• Handle bilingual communications when necessary, although not a mandatory requirement for the role. Requirements • Possess a minimum of two years of experience in a Collections Specialist role or similar
• Demonstrable experience in commercial collections
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Proven ability to meet and exceed collection targets
• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements and regulations related to collections
• High school diploma required; higher education or certifications in relevant fields preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
