Job Overview:
Our non-profit client in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented part-time Accounts Payable Clerk. This individual will provide critical support for financial operations, including processing invoices, preparing reports, and maintaining our financial records. The candidate should have a strong understanding of QuickBooks and be available to work ON-SITE DAILY.
Key Responsibilities:
Handling accounts payable for vendors & tracking system setup.
Processing and verifying invoices, and reconciling invoice discrepancies.
Providing customer service and researching and resolving discrepancies.
Drafting and preparing financial reports.
Updating and maintaining financial records and database.
Assisting with month end closing.
Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Associate degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with QuickBooks.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Effective verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
Work Hours:
The position requires flexibility to accommodate varying hours between 9:30am-4:30pm, amounting to between 15-30 hours per week depending on organizational needs.
