Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the healthcare industry, located in ANN ARBOR, Michigan. The role involves maintaining and managing financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivables, payroll, and various other accounting tasks. The employment opportunity is a long-term contract position.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and ensure they are up-to-date
• Oversee customer accounts and take appropriate action when needed
• Carry out month-end reconciliations and financials
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivables efficiently
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and submit journal entries
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks
• Perform month-end close procedures
• Use Dynamics GP for various accounting tasks. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• Must have a minimum of five years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the healthcare industry
• Proven experience with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations is necessary
• Must possess strong knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Proficiency in creating and posting journal entries is required
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential
• Experience with Dynamics GP software is a plus
• Must be capable of preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary
• Must be able to pass background check
