Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Annapolis Junction, Maryland
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, Maryland. The role focuses on a variety of accounting functions, with a specific emphasis on Accounts Payable (AP). The successful candidate will work on-site, utilizing accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to perform tasks such as check processing and vendor management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing
• Utilize accounting software systems to accurately manage and record financial transactions
• Maintain and update vendor information, addressing any inquiries or issues promptly and professionally
• Regularly utilize Microsoft Excel to create and manage financial reports and data
• Adhere to established processes for data entry, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Conduct regular reviews of payable accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
• Assist in the preparation and processing of payments, ensuring all transactions align with company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to optimize accounting functions
• Manage customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records and resolving any inquiries promptly
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Check Processing procedures
• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks accurately and efficiently
• Experience in Process Payments
• Competency in Vendor Management
