A leading corporation in Annapolis, experiencing significant expansion, seeks to hire a ambitious Staff Accountant. The role is ideally suited for Staff Accountants transitioning from public accounting who are ambitious about their professional advancement in the industry. Key attributes include efficiently managing simultaneous projects, delivering timely results, and maintaining a consistent standard of top-quality work. Candidates should be in possession of a BS degree in Accounting or Finance. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is advantageous. Your main accountabilities will encompass:

• Involvement in end-of-month and end-of-year conclusion processes

• Sustaining the general ledger and account reconciliations

• Carrying out analyses on various financial data

• Assisting in the annual budget and mid-year forecast processes

• Compiling monthly journal entries along with related schedules

• Partaking in special projects as directed by senior management

• Aiding in the production of external financial reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred

• Working knowledge of GAAP

• 1+ years of total experience.
