Description

Robert Half Accounting & Finance is looking for a sharp Billing Clerk to join our client in the Antioch area!

As a Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for our construction projects. This role requires strong communication skills, advanced proficiency in Excel, and experience in project assistance. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and review invoices for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Collaborate with project managers and assistants to gather necessary documentation and project details for invoicing.

  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to create and maintain billing spreadsheets, track project expenses, and analyze billing data.

  • Communicate with clients to address billing inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and provide exceptional customer service.

  • Assist in administrative tasks related to project management, including scheduling, documentation, and reporting.

  • Collaborate with the accounting department to reconcile billing records and ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding billing processes and documentation.

Requirements

Requirements:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate complex spreadsheets and formulas.

Previous experience in project assistance or administrative roles within the construction industry is highly desirable.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Proactive problem-solver with the ability to identify and address billing discrepancies efficiently.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Experience with billing software or accounting systems is a plus.
