Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Appleton, Wisconsin

Major responsibilities

  • Build and run custom reports

  • Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

  • Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices

  • Communicate with organization employees via a variety of channels to obtain approvals of timesheets

  • Compile a system of administering and distributing reports


  • Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

  • Payroll software experience recommended

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • General familiarity with payroll for over 500 employees

  • Knowledge of Workday Payroll

  • Background working with Terminations

  • Adeptness in bi-Monthly Payroll

  • Practical knowledge of Multistate Payroll

  • Multi-state payroll experience preferred

  • Local Payroll Tax experience highly preferred

  • Union payroll experience highly desired

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

  • Proven ability to quickly learn new systems

  • 3+ years of previous payroll experience
