Robert Half Staff Accountant in Appleton, Wisconsin

Description We are in search of a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Appleton, Wisconsin. This role focuses on Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger operations. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Perform bank reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner.

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure it is updated and accurate.

• Prepare journal entries as part of the month-end close process.

• Utilize various software applications such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, and SAP ERP for efficient and effective financial management.

• Adhere to all financial procedures and regulations to maintain financial security.

• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Act as a point of contact for financial inquiries and disputes, resolving them promptly.

• Continually review processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the accounting process. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management

• Experience in preparing and recording Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, and SAP ERP systems

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven track record of maintaining confidential financial information.
