Description

Robert Half has partnered with a Private Equity client to recruit a highly skilled Senior Technical Accountant to join our rapidly growing organization. Reporting directly to the CFO and CIO, this key role offers exposure to the C-level team and requires a candidate with a deep understanding of technical accounting and GAAP principles, preferably with at least 3 years of audit experience from a Big 4 or next-tier accounting firm. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing startup processes, procedures, and technical research to ensure the production of high-quality, GAAP-compliant financial statements.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare multiple entity financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP or other international reporting standards.

  • Coordinate and assist in annual audits by external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate completion to the highest standards.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Accountable for implementing and maintaining internal controls to protect company assets and avoid audit discrepancies.

  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures for internal and external reporting deadlines.

Month-End Close and Reporting:

  • Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, account analyses, and variance analyses.

  • Support the issuance of monthly financial and management reports to the CEO and external investors.

Treasury Management and Debt Compliance:

  • Support the CIO in treasury management and related reporting.

  • Assist in debt and related compliance reporting.

Technical Accounting and Analysis:

  • Research, develop, and provide recommendations for technical accounting issues.

  • Analyze complex financial information to provide accurate and timely recommendations for decision-making purposes.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on duties and projects in a timely manner.

  • Undertake special ad hoc projects as needed.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA required.

  • 3-4+ years with a Big 4 or next-tier national firm or Fortune 1000 company in Technical Accounting

  • Proficient in GAAP with the ability to research and communicate technical accounting principles.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Previous experience with Private Equity, Family Office, and/or Public Company preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Diverse analytical skillset.
