Robert Half Bookkeeper in Arlington, Texas
Description We are in search of a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team in Arlington, Texas. This role focuses on keeping our financial records accurate and up to date, handling accounts payable and receivable, as well as payroll functions. You will also be responsible for maintaining insurances related to the organization and assisting in HR functions.
Responsibilities:
• Manage bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and banking transactions.
• Handle payroll functions including payroll tax, personal health, and workers' compensation.
• Maintain insurances related to the organization.
• Define bookkeeping policies and procedures, and develop systems for accounting for financial transactions.
• Maintain subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying, and allocating transactions.
• Reconcile entries to balance subsidiary accounts and ensure a balanced general ledger.
• Prepare trial balances for accountants and financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounting information.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• Monitor variances from projected budgets and advise management on compliance needs.
• Assist in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices.
• Handle HR functions such as employee onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining personnel records.
• Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollment and updates.
• Provide support for HR-related inquiries and issues. Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Strong bookkeeping skills
• Proficient in Data Entry tasks
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of Payroll processes and Payroll Taxes
• Advanced proficiency in using QuickBooks desktop software
