Robert Half Sr Internal Auditor in Arlington, Texas
Description We are seeking a Sr Internal Auditor based in Arlington, Texas. This role operates within the construction/contractor industry and requires a high level of expertise in auditing, general ledger, and related fields. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive internal audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operations
• Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
• Perform testing of key controls in accordance with established audit plans
• Assist in the preparation of audit reports that accurately summarize the most significant control weaknesses, associated risks, and recommendations for improvement
• Evaluate compliance with relevant regulations and detail oriented standards
• Provide guidance and support to entry level staff members as required
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and legislations
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing results as needed
• Ensure adherence to SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley policies and procedures
• Be open to travel as per business requirements. Requirements • Hold a US certification in Internal Auditing or Public Accountant (CPA)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Expertise in SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance
• Proven ability to develop and implement Policies & Procedures
• Experience in financial auditing
• Proficient in using auditing software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• High ethical standards and professionalism, as it relates to handling confidential and sensitive information.
