Robert Half International Staff Accountant in Arlington, Texas
Robert Half Direct is partnering with a property management company seeking a talented Staff accountant to join their team. This property management company has experienced tremendous growth over the past 12 years, and now has properties in Texas and surrounding states. They are looking for a hands-on self-starter who thrives in a fast paced work environment. This person must have excellent organizational skills and a “lets get it done” attitude. This will be our first in-house accounting/controller position and will offer unlimited potential for growth within our company.
This position with report directly to the CFO and will work very closely with our Operations Manager, lenders, and other third parties.
Responsible for all aspects of the month end accounting close for multiple properties and corporate entities
Prepare adjusting journal entries & accruals with proper documentation
Analyze budget variance related to properties on a monthly basis
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly balance sheet analysis and work-paper packages for the properties and corporate entities
Monthly analysis of bad debt
Review aged receivables and transactions from property management software
Prepare replacement reserve reimbursement requests
Work with auditors during annual financial reviews
Prepare quarterly lender reporting and work with property management to prepare routine lender reserve draw requests
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
Completes special projects as assigned
3+ years accounting experience with solid work references
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting preferred, not required
OneSite experience is HIGHLY preferred or similar accounting software
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Must be tech savvy
Journal entry, general ledger, and financial statement proficiency
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and planning skills to ensure deadlines are met
Must be a team player
Ability to adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
