Robert Half International Telecommunications Manager in Arlington, Texas


Our client is looking for a Telecom Manager who will manage IT staff and assigned aspects of the IT Department.

  • Responsible for the overall performance of Telecommunications teams which may include Wireline, Wireless, and/or SIP or combination thereof

  • Responsible for the creation of Telecom support documentation and specialist training

  • Responsible for supplying ad hoc reports to management of Telecom activity

  • Supervise all Telecom activities and ensure designated SLAs are met

  • Problem analysis, resolution, and support of local and wide-area telecom system issues

  • Work with vendors on an issue involving procurement of services and hardware

  • Address service-related issues and ensure proper resolution

  • Possess above average technical capabilities and able to contribute to troubleshooting efforts if needed

  • Evaluate new tools/applications for possible future deployment

  • Participate in contract negotiations with vendors​

Manages 2 or more employees in a specific IT Area. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Act as POC for projects assigned to the department. Communicate with other teams and management on requirements and status of the project

  • Responsible for matching Purchase Orders to vendor invoices for proper payment

  • Export, verify, and process invoices from cellular vendors using Microsoft Excel

  • Provide monthly Telecom Expense Management reports to upper management

  • Perform rate plan analysis of cellular accounts to ensure the company has plans needed to meet usage requirements without incurring overages

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
