Description
Robert Half is seeing an Accounting Manager at our dynamic client in the Greater Viriginia area. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and submission of filings to government agencies, ensuring the accuracy of the underlying data. You will also focus on process improvements and new initiatives that enhance filing processes. This position offers exceptional compensation and benefits and potential for career growth.
Responsibilities:
Oversee a team of at least two members to ensure the accurate and prompt filing of electoral compliance reports.
Regularly monitor financial activities and assume complete responsibility for these tracking processes.
Aid in the assessment and preparation of financial statements across the entity, focusing on compliance requirements.
Act as a pivotal contributor and specialist in process enhancements, including the development of dashboards and the improvement of vendor billing, particularly during slower periods.
Align electoral filings with the accounting system and cross-verify with additional data sources.
Undertake various ad hoc accounting and compliance tasks as required.

Requirements
The ideal Accounting Manager candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.
Other requirements for the Accounting Manager position include and are not limited to:
5+ years of experience in · accounting, tax, or other accounting/compliance experience
Public accounting or other client-facing experience
Exposure to a nonprofit and/or political organization’s environment
Familiarity with Sage Intacct, CMDI/Crimson, or Concur systems
Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
