Robert Half Finance & Accounting Manager in Arlington, Virginia

Description

We are offering an opportunity for an experienced and organized Finance & Accounting Manager in Arlington, Virginia. As part of our team, you will be instrumental in conducting financial analysis, maintaining financial records, and overseeing corporate level investments. This role also involves supporting accounting for cash and share-based incentive compensation and managing the corporate organizational structure.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes

• Maintain and reconcile financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards

• Oversee the accounting for corporate level investment and initiative activity

• Support accounting for cash and share-based incentive compensation

• Assist in managing the corporate organizational structure and position management

• Support the management and oversight of the corporate data model

• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for financial planning and analysis

• Utilize strong Excel skills to manipulate and analyze large datasets

• Take initiative in identifying process improvements and implementing best practices

• Communicate effectively across departments to provide financial insights and recommendations

• Support manager in day-to-day operations and ad-hoc projects

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in Audit, Accounting and/or Finance or FP& A.

• Must have a solid understanding of Budgeting and Forecasting

• Experience with Workday and Adaptive Planning software is beneficial

• Must be adept in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Must demonstrate strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a team

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required

• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred

• Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and adhere to professional ethics

• Must be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
