Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Arlington, Virginia

Description We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. This role involves crucial tasks related to payroll processing and human resources management. A key part of the team, you will be handling tasks such as data entry in HRMS, payroll processing, HR project coordination, and employee benefits correspondence. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely data entry in HRMS, including new hires, job/pay changes, and terminations

• Regular processing and maintenance of payroll for multiple teams

• Coordination and execution of all HR projects and processes, including recruitment coordination, new hire onboarding, performance management, and benefits administration

• Responding to employee inquiries and corresponding with vendors about employee benefits

• Supporting recruitment activities as assigned

• Preparation of payment requests and expense reports, reconciliation of benefits statements

• Maintenance of electronic files and organization of HR e-documents in compliance with established policies and procedures

• Drafting HR documents for review, such as employment letters and leave letters

• Monitoring and responding to inquiries coming into the general HR inbox

• Posting and updating HR documents on the SharePoint intranet

• Creating regular and ad hoc reports, tracking completion of required activities

• Providing administrative support for organizational culture initiatives and staff events

• Completing special projects and conducting regular audits of regulatory documentation, policy adherence, or other HR areas as requested Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge in 401k - RRSP Administration

• Ability to handle Accounting Functions

• Experience in Onboarding and conducting New Hire Orientations

• Familiarity with Human Resources Management System

• Proficient in using Salesforce.com

• Experience in SharePoint

• Previous experience as a Payroll Specialist is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field is preferred.
