Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager in the detail oriented services industry, based in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves managing multiple departments including bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation.

Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee the company's bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation departments. • Prepare tax returns and related documentation. • Communicate effectively with the IRS as required. • Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records. • Exhibit strong management skills to ensure smooth operation of all departments. • Conduct auditing and compliance checks as necessary. • Assist in entity formation and income tax accounting. • Use ADP, QuickBooks, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax • Possess the capability to double and triple the current capacity based on performance. • Work towards moving into a management role if suitable.
Skills: • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax. • Strong Accounting Functions and Auditing skills. • Familiarity with Compliance, Entity Formation, and Income Tax Accounting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services • Experience with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax • Ability to perform Accounting Functions • Experience in Auditing • Knowledge of Compliance procedures • Understanding of Entity Formation processes • Proficiency in Income Tax Accounting • Ability to work in a detail oriented services environment • Experience in tax management in a public setting is preferred.
