Description We are searching for a diligent and patient-focused Patient Care Coordinator based in Ashtabula, Ohio. This role will be part of our team in the healthcare sector, where you will handle tasks such as processing patient data, managing patient appointments, and maintaining efficient communication lines. This role is set in a dynamic, in-office environment and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate processing and recording of patient data, including uploading information to a third-party portal
• Handle the creation and management of customer invoices, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date
• Oversee the check-in process for patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience
• Respond to and manage patient calls, addressing inquiries and providing necessary information
• Handle the inventory, including receiving and stocking items as needed
• Ensure the effective use of office equipment for administrative tasks, such as scanning and faxing documents
• Manage patient appointments, ensuring a well-organized and efficient schedule
• Use electronic document management systems to ensure efficient and secure handling of patient records
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a high standard of patient care
• Proactively identify and address any issues or challenges that may impact the patient experience or office operations. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in handling patient appointments and check-ins
• Proficient in managing and responding to patient calls
• Ability to efficiently scan and manage electronic documents
• Excellent skills in preparing and managing customer invoices
• Proficiency in using fax machines for document transmission
• Strong organizational skills to maintain patient records
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients
• Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and protocols
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and discretion
• Strong problem-solving skills to address patient concerns and queries effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficient in using computer systems and software relevant to the role.
