Robert Half Accounting Assistant in Athens, Alabama
Description We are seeking an Accounting Assistant located in Athens, Alabama, to join our team. This role involves heavy data entry, reviewing orders in the system, posting invoices, and performing light accounting duties. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Heavy data entry work, including inputting data into the accounting software system.
• Reviewing orders in the system for accuracy and completeness.
• Processing and posting invoices in a timely manner.
• Handling light accounting duties, including managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for functions such as vlookups and pivot tables.
• Performing duties related to billing functions and cash activity.
• Using Microsoft Office Suites and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for various tasks.
• Maintaining accurate customer credit records.
• Resolving customer credit inquiries.
• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites
• Experience with Accounting Functions
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures
• Ability to perform Billing Functions
• Experience in managing Cash Activity
• Proficiency in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Strong Data Entry skills
