Robert Half Accounting Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia. The role is primarily within the accounting sector, where you will be responsible for managing and processing accounts payable and receivable transactions. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be expected to maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely payment of invoices.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process accounts payable and receivable transactions.

• Maintain accurate financial records and control reports.

• Ensure the correct and timely payment of invoices.

• Prepare and send invoices, credit notes, and account statements.

• Establish and maintain effective communications with suppliers, vendors, and customers.

• Reconcile incoming and outgoing cash flows daily.

• Review all credit balances, refunds, and adjustments, and apply adjustments and/or corrections to corporate billing records.

• Assist in month-end closing activities, including account analysis, preparation of adjusting entries, and account reconciliations.

• Collaborate across teams to resolve finance-related issues and improve existing process settings.

• Identify areas for process improvement related to Accounts Payable/Receivable functions. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Billing Functions

• Ability to perform Cash Reconciliations

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work

• Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation.
