Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia
Description Robert Half has a first-rate opportunity for a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a premier company in the Manufacturing industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will process expense reports, resolve A/P issues, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, and match, batch, and code invoices. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Atlanta, Georgia area and will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.

Provide support during internal and external audits
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Perform special projects as assigned
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Accomplish full-cycle A/P
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department Requirements - Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Strong familiarity with Enter Invoices
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of customer invoices
Process Vendor Invoices experience preferred
Enter Vendor Invoices experience desired
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
5+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Strong attention to detail
