Description
We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The role involves working in the insurance industry, where you will be tasked with managing and processing ACH payment invoices, maintaining vendor information, and performing bank and general ledger reconciliations. Your tasks will also include addressing vendor inquiries, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with organizational protocols.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process a large volume of ACH payment invoices, adhering to company policies and accounting best practices.
• Manage sensitive vendor information, including the verification and updating of banking details and tax documentation.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of data across bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and company systems to guarantee the accuracy of financial reports.
• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and requests, maintaining a detail oriented and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any discrepancies related to invoice payments, vendor accounts, or reconciliations.
• Carry out regular reconciliations to ensure that internal controls are functioning correctly and effectively.
• Document and enhance workflows to improve the efficiency of vendor communications and invoice processing.
• Ensure strict compliance with organizational protocols and external regulatory requirements when handling sensitive financial data.
Requirements • Holds a minimum of 3 years' experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role within the finance sector.
• Proficient in Account Coding and able to manage a variety of financial data.
• Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of Accounting Software Systems, including ADP - Financial Services and Concur.
• Has practical experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
• Familiar with all Accounting Functions, with a focus on Accounts Payable (AP).
• Understands and applies Accrual Accounting principles in daily tasks.
• Possesses skills in Auditing, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial documentation.
• Experienced in handling Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
