Robert Half Accounts Receivable Settlement Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia

Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Settlement Specialist to join our team. This role is based in Atlanta, Georgia and will involve a hybrid working model with some days spent in the office and others working from home. The Accounts Receivable Settlement Specialist will play a vital role in our financial department, specifically dealing with customer credit applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer inquiries.

This role is HYBRID out of Sandy Springs, GA (2 in office. 3 days at home.)

Responsibilities:

• Effectively handle customer credit applications, ensuring their accurate and timely processing

• Maintain precise and up-to-date customer credit records

• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner

• Take over Accounting Functions from Recycle Plants

• Verify Weight Imports performed by other departments

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy

• Address and resolve any mistakes with billing and issue adjustments

• Balance monthly shipment transactions and ensure all loads have been billed

• Understand department process flow and constantly look for areas of improved efficiency

• Work closely with accounts receivable, reducing unapplied cash issues and improving customer satisfaction.

Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated ability in handling invoices, billing, and shipping functions

• Experience with financial settlement processes

• Excellent customer service skills

• Strong analytical and research skills

• Ability to handle materials and perform ad hoc financial tasks

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience with 'About Time' software will be a plus

• Understanding of finance and the buying process

• Ability to collaborate effectively with partners, suppliers, and team members

• Proven experience in closing accounts and making necessary adjustments

• Ability to streamline processes for efficiency

• Track record in teamwork and collaboration

• Sound knowledge of finance processes and settlements

• Experience in handling paper-based and digital documents.
