Job Description:
Robert Half is currently seeking a proactive, meticulous, and well-organized Billing Specialist to join our clients finance team. The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, and proven experience in a billing department role.
Responsibilities:
Generate accurate and timely invoices for our clients, averaging around 40 manual invoices daily.
Leverage a firm understanding of debits and credits to properly align all billing.
Ensuring all billing information is maintained accurately in the company's system.
Review all billing discrepancies and rectify issues promptly.
Liaise with departments and clients to improve billing and payment processes.
Perform data entry tasks related to billing.
Prepare, dispense, and monitor all customer billing and collections.
Maintain and update the customer database, including auditing for accuracy and authenticity.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of professional experience in a billing department or similar role.
A strong understanding of basic accounting principles, specifically debits and credits.
Exceptional attention to detail, with a proven ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all work.
Critical thinking skills and a problem-solving attitude.
Proficient in data entry and management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
The successful Billing Specialist will have an analytical mindset and a strong propensity for numeric accuracy. The ability to document, take notes and keep track of activities is critical in this role.
