Description We are offering a short term contract opportunity to a Bookkeeper in Atlanta, Georgia. This position will predominantly be remote, with the occasional need for on-site attendance for staff meetings. The successful candidate will be integral to the daily operations of our non-profit organization, with a focus on maintaining our financial system, QuickBooks Online, and handling various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operations of our financial system, QuickBooks Online.
• Manage transactional accounting, including account reconciliation, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Handle operational and programmatic bills, ensuring accurate expense reporting and check requests.
• Create adhoc reports in MS Excel, facilitating efficient analysis of expenses, grants and contracts.
• Submit invoices as required, ensuring timely payment and accurate record keeping.
• Maintain data entry tasks to ensure accurate and up-to-date customer records.
• Oversee bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate month-end close processes.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary.
• Promptly resolve customer inquiries, providing high-quality customer service. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Capability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Expertise in Bookkeeping procedures
• Skilled in Data Entry tasks
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of QuickBooks software
• Familiarity with Quickbooks Online is highly desirable
