Description

We are in search of a Collections Specialist based in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Collections Specialist, you will be working in the construction/restoration industry and be responsible for managing and collecting on overdue accounts. This role involves using accounting software systems and is a short-term contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems such as QuickBooks and Logistek to manage customer accounts.

• Handle the collection process for 30-60-90 day overdue accounts.

• Engage in dialing activities to reach out to customers with overdue payments.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant collection laws and regulations.

• Provide excellent customer service while handling customer inquiries and disputes.

• Use Microsoft Excel for reporting and tracking collection efforts.

• Collaborate with the team to achieve collection targets and maintain customer satisfaction.

• Actively contribute to the interim clean-up process for the next 3-4 months.

• Use your skills as a collector to effectively manage and collect on customer accounts.

• Utilize credit knowledge to assess and manage risk associated with customer accounts.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Collections Specialist or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Previous experience as a Collector is highly desirable

• Strong customer service skills and ability to promote a positive customer experience

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• High level of integrity and confidentiality
