Robert Half Contracts Administrator in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our team in the local government sector, based in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and tracking various types of contracts, ensuring compliance, and overseeing contract lifecycles. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and requires an individual with experience in a legal environment and familiarity with procurement laws.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and track various types of contracts within the legal environment of the local government

• Ensure compliance is met across all contracts and flag any issues that may need to be addressed

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of a contract, from initiation to completion

• Collaborate with a junior contracts team member, providing guidance and supervision as needed

• Stay updated with purchasing laws and use the GA procurement manual as a reference

• Address any contract-related queries from internal or external stakeholders

• Monitor contract performance to ensure all obligations are met

• Liaise with legal teams to address any legal issues related to contracts

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documentation. Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field

• Proven experience in the role of a Contracts Administrator, or similar, within a Local Government setting is preferred

• Strong knowledge of contract law and its application in a professional setting

• Demonstrated ability to review, understand, and manage contractual agreements

• Proficiency in using contract management software and tools

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written

• Demonstrated ability to ensure contract compliance and manage potential risks

• Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must possess a strong ethical framework and respect for confidentiality requirements

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• Must be detail-oriented with an ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in contracts.
