Robert Half Intermediate Accountant in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant in the Construction/Contractor industry to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role revolves around the management of accounting functions and auditing, with a focus on cost accounting and commercial real estate. You will also be expected to work with various software such as ADP - Financial Services, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and Great Plains (GPAC).

Responsibilities:

• Handle all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

• Perform regular audits to identify any discrepancies or areas of improvement.

• Manage cost accounting tasks, providing detailed reports on findings.

• Deal with aspects of commercial real estate within the accounting framework.

• Use ADP - Financial Services for managing financial tasks and tracking progress.

• Implement and maintain ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems for streamlined business operations.

• Utilize Great Plains (GPAC) for accounting management and reporting.

• Monitor cash activity and manage related accounting tasks.

• Ensure all accounting tasks and reports adhere to company policies and regulations.

• Continually update skills and knowledge in order to maintain professional and technical relevance in the field. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in an Intermediate Accountant role or similar within the Construction/Contractor industry.

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services.

• Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC).

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions.

• Experience in Auditing.

• Ability to manage Cash Activity.

• Knowledge of Cost Accounting.

• Experience in Commercial Real Estate.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.

• Professional certification such as CPA is an advantage.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High level of integrity and dependability.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
