Robert Half Security Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia
Description
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NIST security frameworks, vulnerability management, risk assessments, and security audits. You will be responsible for safeguarding our systems, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with security best practices. CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO ATLANTA, GA.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement, monitor, and improve security controls in alignment with NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats.
Lead and participate in security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to reduce security risks.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures across systems and applications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar cybersecurity role.
In-depth knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and related standards.
Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus, Rapid7).
Strong background in risk assessments, security audits, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Proficiency with security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS).
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CISA are highly preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
