In the Senior Accountant role, you will support the company's goals by preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Superior analytical skills are crucial to this position. In this full-time role, you will be well compensated, offered great benefits, and have the chance to grow. This Senior Accountant role is located in Atlanta, Georgia.

What you get to do every day

• Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

• Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

• Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

• Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

• Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary

• Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

Requirements

• Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

• Able to manage time well

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred or parts passed/taken

• Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

• Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

• Month end closings experience

• 2+ years of non-profit accounting experience

• Sound written and verbal communication skills

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
