Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are looking for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance. This is a short term contract position in the telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Performing balance sheet reconciliations to prevent and detect any discrepancies.

• Managing bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for.

• Maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.

• Processing journal entries and ensuring correct posting.

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and financial reporting.

• Conducting month-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting.

• Utilizing NetSuite and QuickBooks for accounting operations, financial management, and transaction processing. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Solid knowledge of General Ledger operations

• Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite software

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software

• Must have a degree in Accounting or a related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certifications are preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented and highly organized

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.
