Robert Half Sr. Linux Systems Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia
Description
Robert Half is actively searching for a Senior Linux Systems Engineer.
In this role you will provide systems management, troubleshooting and engineering support of our Linux based network cloud application stack.
This is a technical engineering, documentation and problem solving role where you will become a SME for our platform.
Production Datacenter support is required as part of this role.
A solid understanding of and experience with Linux based OS, Linux KVM based Hypervisors, TCP/IP networking and open source infrastructure technology is required.
on-site role located in our Mid-town Atlanta GA office.
Requirements
What You’ll Do:
· Linux Server Infrastructure (50%) – configuration, maintenance & management of Linux based hypervisor, network and storage stack
· Linux Systems Engineering (30%) – providing engineering support for our network cloud application stack, production network services
· Engineering Support and training (20%) – escalation resource to help support techs master our technology and resolve complex support issues
Requirements
· 6 years of experience with CentOS and/or Debian Server administration in a production environment
· 5 years experience with virtualization technologies, e.g., QEMU, KVM, ProxMox etc.
· 4 Years of TCP/IP & Linux networking experience in a production environment (VLAN/802.1Q, routing, switching, SNMP etc)
· 4 years of technical puzzle solving skills - i.e. research, debug and resolve complex server, application & networking issues
· 2 years experience with shell & python scripting for task automation
· Willing and able to work full-time in the office with your peers to support the Jr techs, help them train and develop their Linux skills
