You might be a good fit for this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. This role will involve internal reporting during the monthly close, participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP Requirements - Less than one year of experience is acceptable
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
General ledger experience
Fixed assets experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Annual Inventory
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
High attention to detail
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
ERP system experience
