Robert Half Staff Accountant in Atlanta, Georgia
Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves processing a variety of accounting transactions, maintaining financial records, and addressing accounting inquiries. The Staff Accountant will also be tasked with monitoring and managing customer accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Maintain the General Ledger and contribute to the Month End Close process
• Prepare Journal Entries as required for financial transactions
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage customer accounts and financial records
• Ensure appropriate action is taken on customer accounts when necessary
• Maintain accurate financial records and resolve any discrepancies. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrable experience with bank reconciliations
• Solid understanding of General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
