Robert Half Controller in Atlantic Beach, Florida

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team in Atlantic Beach, Florida. The role is central to the industry, requiring a professional to oversee the financial management and regulatory compliance of the company. The individual will be responsible for managing and supervising a team, as well as handling a variety of accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Supervise the payment process to vendors and subcontractors, ensuring lien waivers are properly collected

• Review accounts receivable, aging reports, and assist with direct reports for collections

• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of accounts receivable progress billings based upon specific contract terms

• Monitor daily cash balances to ensure requirements are met

• Review and monitor the preparation of the weekly payroll for employees, including the timely submission of monthly reports

• Conduct financial reporting, including the preparation and review of monthly financial statements

• Create budgets and manage them to ensure fiscal health and responsibility

• Oversee the monthly job cost report process with the President and project managers for use in creating and updating contract schedules and updated work in progress reports for internal and external use

• Participate in the on-going strategic planning with the leadership team, perform due diligence and create projections with different scenarios on growth opportunities as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in AIA Billing is essential for this role

• Experience with Job Cost is required

• Familiarity with Foundation Software is a must

• Solid understanding of General Ledger is necessary

• Demonstrated ability to manage Cash Balances

• Proficiency in conducting Month End Close activities

• Familiarity with Lien Waivers is required

• Experience in managing Weekly Payroll is essential

• Ability to prepare Monthly Financial Statements is a must

• Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting is necessary
