Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Utilities/Infrastructure industry, located in AUBURN HILLS, Michigan, 48326-2455, United States. This role involves handling full-process payables through check-cutting, receiving and entering invoices, and running check runs monthly.


• Full-process payables management including receiving invoices, entering invoices, and running check runs

• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments

• Utilize your skills in 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Check Processing', 'MS Excel' to ensure efficiency in operations

• Work independently to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable

• Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations

• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve disputes and negotiate better terms when necessary

• Ensure financial data confidentiality and conduct regular backups to prevent data loss

• Participate in financial audits and cooperate with internal or external auditors by providing the necessary information. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar.

• Demonstrable knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

• Proficiency in using MS Excel for data management and analysis.

• Familiarity with Check Processing procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high volume environments.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various departments.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
