Description
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in Auburn, Maine. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be performing a variety of tasks related to medical billing and claim administration in the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process patient credit applications
• Administer and process medical billing tasks
• Handle appeals in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain precise credit records of patients
• Monitor patient accounts and take necessary actions
• Use the EHR System for maintaining and updating patient records
• Perform accounts receivable tasks as and when required
• Manage billing functions and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
• Resolve patient inquiries related to billing and payments
• Liaise with the back office for phone support and other tasks as needed.
Requirements • Proficiency in EHR SYSTEM is essential for effective coordination and processing of patient data
• Mastery of Accounts Receivable (AR) is required, as the role involves managing and tracking payments
• Experience with Appeals is necessary, as the specialist will handle denied claims and work towards their resolution
• Knowledge of Billing Functions is crucial for the accurate processing of billing information and ensuring timely payment
• Expertise in Claim Administration is required for the efficient management and resolution of patient claims.
