Description
Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant for a temp to hire opportunity with a manufacturing organization in the Auburn, NY area. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of manufacturing accounting principles and will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and advancement within a dynamic organization.
Responsibilities:
Participate in all aspects of the accounting cycle, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, month end close, costing, and more
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Manufacturing experience is highly preferred
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Demonstrated experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
