Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Auburn, Washington

Description This thriving company is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to grow with them. The Accounts Receivable Clerk role, based in the Auburn, Washington region, is a permanent position. This position is for candidates who can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Follow standard procedures to execute general accounting tasks

  • Confirm documents and codes are correct

  • Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed

  • Ensure the mission, values, and culture of the organization are supported, conveyed and reinforced

  • Reconcile bank accounts, recording and balancing financial information in a variety of ledgers

  • Handle payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Supply shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders with information as requested Requirements - Skilled with ERP systems

  • General familiarity with billing

  • Quality experience with Billing Functions

  • Practical knowledge of Billing Collection

  • Aging Accounts experience

  • Command of credit collections

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of credit

  • Proven knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Well-founded grasp of Aging Accounts

  • Strong familiarity with credit analysis

  • Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

  • Relevant experience in accounts receivable

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
