Job Description:

We are looking for an organized, efficient Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, pays attention to detail, and has comprehensive knowledge in accounts receivable. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing and streamlining all accounts receivable functions. This position will start as a contract role with the potential to become a permanent position based on performance and company needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Process daily invoices and maintain the billing system.

  • Perform account reconciliations, monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and irregularities.

  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.

  • Investigate and resolve customer queries, managing and resolving invoice discrepancies.

  • Regularly review and update customer records, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Assist with month-end closing process and provide support for audit documentation.

  • Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and maintain a positive working relationship.

  • Generate and analyze financial reports detailing accounts receivable status.

  • Suggest process improvements to secure prompt and regular receipts for the organization.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role in the accounting field.

  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.

  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software packages.

  • Excellent data entry, numerical, and calculation skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
