Job Description:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing all activities related to accounts receivable functions of our company, which include invoicing, account reconciliation, credit control, collection of payments, and maintaining customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent numerical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and send invoices to customers in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Monitor payments and make adjustments to customer accounts as necessary.

  • Research and resolve any discrepancies or issues in relation to invoices.

  • Regularly contact customers to establish payment schedules and resolve any issues or enquiries regarding invoices.

  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to ensure seamless, efficient invoicing processes.

  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure payments are correctly accounted for.

  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.

  • Provide support during financial audits by providing necessary information and documents.

  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.

  • Implement and uphold departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role in the Accounting field.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.

  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.

  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
