Description We are in search of a highly skilled Grant Accountant to join our team, based in Auburn, Washington. This role will primarily focus on the administration and compliance of grants, with an emphasis on governmental grant management and accounting functions. We offer a contract to hire employment opportunity, where the successful candidate will be integral in managing the increased workload due to a tripling of grants.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage and administer a portfolio of approximately 45 grants, ensuring compliance with grant requirements

• Maintain up-to-date records of all grant activities and transactions

• Regularly draw down funds from grant accounts, ensuring funds are used appropriately and in a timely manner

• Respond to inquiries related to grant distribution and usage

• Approve requisitions related to grant funds, ensuring they align with grant guidelines and restrictions

• Complete and submit grant reports as required by funders

• Provide weekly progress reports to the director, highlighting any issues or concerns

• Utilize grant management software, such as Amplifund and Laserfiche, to track and manage grant activities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating a sensitivity to tribal needs

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with all grant requirements. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Proven experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Understanding of Compliance regulations and standards

• Ability to manage Expenditure efficiently

• Experience in Federal Grant accounting and administration

• Proficiency in Grant Accounting procedures

• Experience in Grant Administration
