Description

Our client is on the lookout for a motivated Human Resources (HR) Director in Augusta, Georgia. This role involves leading and coordinating the activities within the Human Resources Department, ensuring legal compliance and the implementation of our organization's mission and talent strategy. The HR Director will also be involved in employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.

• Oversee a team of three

• Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.

• Administer or oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.

• Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.

• Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.

• Develop and implement departmental budget.

• Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.

• Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.

• Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.

• Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records.

• Maintain self-insured employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and ability to relate to employees at all levels

• Experience with HRMS (Human Resource Management System) for managing employee data and HR processes

• Strong understanding of Benefit Functions, experience with self-insured plans is preferred

• Expertise in Compensation Administration, including developing and executing competitive compensation strategies

• Knowledge of Compliance requirements in the HR field, including labor laws and industry regulations

• Proven experience in Employee Relations, including addressing employee concerns and fostering a positive work environment
