Robert Half Accountant in Austin, Texas

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accountant to join our team based in Austin, Texas. As part of our team, you will be handling functions such as financial services, general ledger management, reporting, and auditing. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and will require skills in ADP - Financial Services, Auditing, General Ledger, QuickBooks, Reporting, Fund Accounting - Non-Profit, Budget Processes, Budgeting, and Budget Management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department including ADP - Financial Services, General Ledger, Reporting, and Auditing.

• Process financial transactions, maintain financial records, and ensure all financial functions are in line with statutory requirements.

• Utilize QuickBooks for managing and processing financial transactions and reports.

• Conduct audits to verify the accuracy of the organization's financial information.

• Oversee fund accounting for non-profit initiatives and manage budget processes.

• Develop and manage budgets, monitor revenue and expenses, and ensure effective budget management.

• Prepare and present financial reports to management, providing detailed analysis and financial forecasts.

• Implement and adhere to company's financial policies and regulations.

• Continually improve and streamline the organization's financial processes and systems.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations. Requirements • Must possess strong skills in ADP - Financial Services

• Proficient in Auditing

• Demonstrated knowledge of General Ledger

• Experience in using QuickBooks is essential

• Must have strong Reporting skills

• Experience in Fund Accounting - Non-Profit is desirable

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Proficiency in Budgeting

• Experience in Budget Management is a plus

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required

• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations is expected

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• CPA certification is a plus but not necessary.
