Job Summary:

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to maintain the integrity of our accounts payable and supply chain-related ledgers. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, preparing financial reports, managing tax documentation, and supporting the monthly closing process. This position requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop spreadsheets and work papers to support journal entries for general and subsidiary ledgers.

  • Post entries to the general and subsidiary ledgers timely and in accordance with department policies.

  • Review and reconcile the general ledger trial balance for accuracy each month.

  • Review and approve journal entries for accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.

  • Ensure proper coding of invoices and financial transactions to maintain GAAP compliance.

  • Reconcile general ledger control accounts to subsidiary ledger balances on time.

  • Research and document findings on Texas sales and use tax issues.

  • Prepare and file timely Texas Sales & Use tax returns and related payments.

  • Provide cross-functional support to the accounts payable team and maintain vendor setup.

  • Assist with the preparation of audit schedules for annual audits.

    Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.

  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting, with experience in supply chain or payables preferred.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access; experience with Oracle payables is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
