Description We are in search of a meticulous Bookkeeper in Austin, Texas. This role is integral for our team, focusing on managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. The industry is non-profit, specifically managing financials for retirement homes. This role operates on a contract to hire basis, offering the opportunity for long-term employment.
Responsibilities:
• Managing financial transactions, including billing, credit cards, and payroll
• Ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date
• Conducting bank reconciliations regularly
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary
• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate customer credit records
• Overseeing the processing of payroll via third party services
• Carrying out bookkeeping duties including data entry and month-end close
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for various financial tasks
• Handling account reconciliation and accounts payable/receivable tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Expertise in Bank Reconciliations
• Proficient in Bookkeeping tasks
• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks accurately and efficiently
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Month End Close tasks
• Knowledge of Payroll processing
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
