Description
We are searching for a dedicated Controller in the non-profit sector, located in Austin, Texas. This role involves overseeing the financial accounting system, managing audit processes, and ensuring the accuracy of internal financial controls. The Controller will also handle investor relations reporting and financial analysis, among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Oversee cash management and risk management activities
Manage the financial accounting system for efficient operations
Ensure adherence to FASB Accounting Standards for complete and accurate reporting
Handle the audit process including IRS 990 report and financial statements
Ensure the accuracy of investor relations reporting and investment portfolio management
Handle management, investor reporting, and financial/investment analysis
Manage monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual reporting cycles
Support CFO in preparing monthly and annual financial plans and budgets
Manage office facilities and support HR function
Oversee and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general accounts
Communicate potential risks clearly and timely.
Skills:
Understanding of Accounting Functions
Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Proficiency in Auditing
Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Experience with ADP - Financial Services
Familiarity with DCAA
Familiarity with Budget Processes
Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is desirable
• Knowledge of Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) regulations is necessary
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is beneficial
• Ability to work with ERP Solutions is essential
• Skilled in performing a variety of Accounting Functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in Auditing is required
• Understanding of Budget Processes is necessary
