Description
A Senior Financial Analyst is sought by an energetic company for a long-term temporary project opportunity. A primary point of contact for all financial issues, the Senior Financial Analyst consultant will handle project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting. In order to provide decision-making support for future company investments, you will also perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments in accordance with public reporting requirements. This Senior Financial Analyst position is located in Austin, Texas.
Your responsibilities
Develop repeatable business, operational and financial processes widely understood by all necessary teams
Analyze financial results, distill/synthesize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates to senior leadership all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly management reports
Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance
Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership
Collaborate with Operations and Accounting to drive improved management reporting by tracking financial results more discreetly and accurately
Work closely with Functional leads - provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives
Execute assistance in all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Power existing management reporting by evaluating financial results, distilling and synthesizing issues, and articulating key updates to senior-level staff
Requirements
Compelling strategy mindset and a track record of interacting successfully with management
CPA/MBA preferred
Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills
Highly skilled with Microsoft PowerPoint
A background in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
Prior experience with process reengineering and optimization
BA/BS degree in Finance, Business or related field
Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
Able to work across teams and gain consensus of a group of individuals
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Business analysis experience required
Comprehensive knowledge of cash reconciliations
Deep understanding of Cash Flow Analysis
