Description
The Creative Group is looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist for a great role with a large technology brand. The role will be a long term contract, with conversion to a full-time employee possible. This Marketing Communications Specialist will be 40 hours per week, working remotely.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing Communications:
Ensure marketing communications materials produced are reflective of company message and are brand compliant
Gather content and develop creative briefs for marketing communications requests
Develop and rework content for all print, online and landing pages
Edit written materials and articles
Other various marketing communications-related tasks will be assigned as needed
Advertising:
Assist with development of integrated marketing and advertising campaigns
Develop annual trade advertising media plan and budget and manage implementation and measurement
Research and contact industry publications for rates/specs/circulations
Generate, confirm and track advertising insertion orders
Track and report competitive media activity
Work with teammates and third parties to gather content for print, online and landing pages
Develop creative briefs for new campaigns and new print and online creative (including landing pages) & track all assets through publication
Traffic and measure ad effectiveness
Provide and develop monthly media reports for all business sections
Gather, organize and distribute advertising invoices to appropriate contacts
Communicate with Manager, Marketing Communications regarding workflow, priorities, challenges, successes or any other information necessary to ensure best practices are followed
Public Relations:
- While not required, some experience with public relations including media outreach, drafting/distributing press releases, identifying editorial opportunities and tracking public relations effectiveness is preferred
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (communications, marketing, advertising, or business, preferred)
3-5 years of related work experience in account management
3-5 years of experience managing content/copy for various mediums (print, online)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Advanced proofreading & editing skills
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to stay organized
Self-starter
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Ability to interface with senior management
