Robert Half Payroll Clerk in Austin, Texas

Description

We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in Austin, Texas. This role is within a non-profit organization and is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile payroll for the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards

• Manage payroll tax reporting and resolve any payroll tax issues, including those related to federal, multi-state, and disability requirements

• Handle payroll for multiple companies, if necessary, and manage the full cycle of payroll operations

• Leverage skills in project management to lead payroll-related projects and initiatives

• Assist with certified payroll processing as required, especially for federal government contractors

• Respond to inquiries regarding payroll, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly

• Collaborate with the finance and accounting team to ensure seamless integration of payroll data with other financial systems

• Continually update skills and knowledge in payroll processing and related areas to ensure the organization's payroll operations stay compliant and efficient

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Payroll Clerk role within the non-profit sector

• Proficiency in Payroll Tax Reporting and Payroll Taxes

• Experience in Benefits Payroll and Certified Payroll

• Ability to handle Full Cycle Payroll

• Experience in managing Multi-state Payroll

• Capability to handle Payroll for over 500 employees

• Strong skills in Payroll Management

• Proficiency in Payroll Processing

• Ability to accurately Reconcile Payroll

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software systems

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
